Port Sunlight Village and Works Bowling Club, which is open to both men and women members,  was formed in 2009 by the amalgamation of the Port Sunlight Village Social Bowling Club [formally The Mens Club founded approximately 1905] and The Works Bowling Club [founded approximately 1928] and  has four teams, two each in the Bebington and Birkenhead leagues.   The Club plays in the picturesque village of Port Sunlight on the green alongside the Lyceum building near Hulme Hall.

The Club quickly enjoyed success with its Bebington league B team winning the inaugral competition for the Geoff Clare Cup in 2009.  This season the Veterans team gained promotion with one of the team, Jimmy Mannion, winning the Divisional averages.  David Gore also won the Divisional averages for his performances with our Bebington league A team.  To everyones surprise, our pairs team also gained promotion without really trying!  All those who wanted to play, including many of our novices, did so and all thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

The Club has a thriving social bowling group which plays throughout the year -  even in the depths of winter when we use council greens.  A  continuing influx of new members has raised the possibility of running another team so if you are interested in playing for a club which values all members regardless of ability, then why not go to the next page and 'contact us'.

The Club is grateful to Morsy Lewis Pharmacy for providing score cards for our club and which we have shared with other clubs.
